Help with dash lights
Hey guys, I am having a problem with the dash lights on my 91 F250. They don't work at all, none of them. Previous owners of the truck pulled a camper with it so I suspect they had a brake controller in the truck and connected it to the dash illumination wire. The lights have come on one time since I have had the truck, driving at night, hit a bump, lights came on and stayed on until switch was turned off, never to come on again. I have changed the light switch and no change. I have tried to find a wiring diagram for the truck and have come up with nothing. What color is the wire for the dash lights? Looks like a ticked off three year old has been under the dash playing with the wires, it is a mess! Thanks for the help and advice in advance.

closely check the plug going into the light switch. the contacts overheat, and do all kinds of weird things.
