Pulled engine codes after edge insight install
Just recently bought 2003 Ex 6.0 with 83k miles. Just received and installed the*EdgeInsight*CTS, as it was recommended by many on this site for monitoring engine vitals. Anyhow, I scanned for engine codes, and the following pulled up. Should I be concerned? How can I combat these and is it safe to drive the vehicle while having these codes? The CEL is not on currently.

The MAP is 14psi, Baro-12.6, and EBP is showing 0. I cleared the codes and drove around for about 15-20 min and then ran the check again for trouble codes. All that came back this time was P1000 and U0304. I am not sure if the EGR has been deleted, but will be looking into today. Thanks again for all of the help on this forum.

Is that BARO number a negative 12.6?
No, the Baro is 12.6, not negative. Sorry for the confusion.
You originally posted a U0306, which is a FICM software incompatibility code
that probably means someone replaced the FICM with one from another truck and is not a great concern.
U0304 is software incompatibility with gearshift control module which may be a totally different concern and one I'm not familiar with.

After researching further, I am concerned about my EBP being 0. Does this mean the sensor needs to be replaced? I have also read that some 2003 models did not use an ebp sensor. All help is appreciated.

For some reason the Edge products report the EBP in PSIG and not PSIA so it does read zero at KOEO, the others are reporting in PSIA so with the engine off the MAP and BARO shows the current atmospheric pressure. And the 03' uses an inferred EBP value.
It certainly wont hurt anything to pull and clean it.
You can pull the MAP hose and inspect it for obstructions or cracks and check the brass nipple at the intake to be sure that it is clear. The MAP sensor is located just above the evaporator housing on the passenger side and is connected to the passenger side intake manifold via a rubber hose. What is your altitude where you live?

If you are at sea level then the BARO is the one that is off, it should be approximately 14.7 so the MAP is closer to what the BARO should be.
