Help locating Flywheel for 223

1963 with 223 I6 and 4 on floor T98 tranny. About to change clutch and fear flywheel is an issue. I want to be prepared to order new flywheel if old one can't be resurfaced but cannot locate one. I've tried all the "usual suspects" online with no luck. Assistance requested. Thanks in advance!

223 in engines/parts...

ige1963... if anywhere near S. AZ - don't have a new one, but have two (2X) complete 223 in engines/clutch bellhsng/trans units from '56's. They both are 3spd stds, not apart, but would imagine one or both have good flywheel. For more info & such- see Tucson craigslist ad under '1954 F250 for sale & parts'. Good luck... john

Thanks '50sFever - I am, unfortunately, very far from Arizona (very south Louisiana to be exact!) I know they stopped making the 223 in 1964 and I'm thinking that might have something to do with the flywheel availability. Ford was usually good about making multi-year, multi-application parts and I've read the flywheel from the 292 Y Block might be the same so I'm looking into that too. Thanks again!

Just from memory but I think the 292 is the same. You may need the larger pressure plate and disk from a 292 to make it work.

Bill, Happy New year,
This gets confusing, I must have put a 292 flywheel on my 223 because I found the old clutch assembly and it's 10.5 inch????????

50+ years have passed by, so who knows what size the disc/flywheel may be today?
C3TZ-7550-G .. Clutch Disc-10 1/2" / Obsolete

1957/60 F100/250 272/292 / 1961/64 F100/250 292.

Anybody got suggestions? 11 inch clutch, 223, 4 on the floor. No flywheel available. Will any other flywheel work? Are there other possibly overlooked sources I can check?

Have you searched for the B4AZ-6375-A that Bill posted. It works on 223 or Yblock and can use a 10 or 11 inch clutch. Searching under 292 may make it easier..

Thanks for replying - Yes - searched for it by part number. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that the one on the engine now can be resurfaced.
