Belated good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. If you are on the wrong side of the Rockies, good afternoon! 39.6°, wet and scattered showers.
Had a huge Oak tree come down in and across the creek out at the farm. This one is going to be a problem to get out of there. Straight up and down soft dirt bank of about 25' and right now about 20' of moving water in the creek. Way too big of tree to pull out with tractors, even the neighbors 'monsters'....

Must be pansies and wimps back there in Nebraska. In the great Pacific Northwest, we went under a "winter storm warning" the 1st of November with a projected end date of June 1st!
The Assisted Care Living Center wants a meeting about the MIL on Wednesday at 1830 and won't change it. So much for my birthday celebration we were planning for Wednesday night. They say she is falling too much and we need to discuss it. They say it has to be at 1830 because there are 'other interested parties' that can not attend except for then and they are sorry to interrupt plans.
They didn't like me very well when I told them tough s#$t, we didn't want her in their facility to start with and she was moved there in secret without our knowledge! Then I told them that the falling problems would probably be greatly reduced if they quit filling her up with 7.5/325 hydrocodone that we just found out about. Over 90 of those pills a month for at least the last 3 months. An 80 year old lady with advanced progressive dementia and Parkinson's disease floating on roughly 4 hydrocodone at 7.5/325 a day and they have a problem with her falling?
I was told I had a "poor attitude" and the meeting would not be changed.

I've always thought it was more fun watching them get themselves into the ditch Roy. I always like to see it when they try to do at least a triple axel getting there.
Far too much crying, cussing and blaming the road department after they are already in the ditch.
...but there again, I've been told today that I have a "poor attitude"!

Call back and inform the Ditch that your lawyer will be investigating the negligent care.........
Oh......almost forgot.......'Shape up Sailor'............
I guess I left that part out...after I questioned the Hydrocodone I mentioned that I wanted time so that I could get it arranged for our lawyer and an investigator from DHS-Adult Protective services to be there. That's actually when I got told I had the "poor attitude". I really wish there was some way to get a state supervised conservator and guardian appointed for her, but apparently there isn't and we spent 8 grand failing in that endeavor last June through November (2014).....

Talking it over with Diana when she gets home tonight. Need to probably make a trip to DHS-APS and the County Health Dept. tomorrow and then see what we can find out at the meeting Wednesday evening.
Time to go back into cop and investigator mode so I need to make sure Diana doesn't start dropping the "L" word around. I may have blown that already. The "L" word usually puts people on guard and then it is hard to get info......
In the meantime, I have some venison jerky in the smoker and it should be done....
