Hi guys!


My in-laws have a 1982 F100 stepside that they are wanting to sell.


How, or where, would someone arrive at the value for a truck of this age?


Any guidance would be appreciated.

I would look on autotrader.com and see what similar-age-and-condition trucks are going for out there.

And since the value of some trucks, like the Flaresides, vary by region I would look at Craigslist. But, if theirs is a real gem then don't limit the advertising to local media. A very clean, rust-free truck is frequently worth driving quite a ways to acquire.

The Kelley blue book website doesn't go back that far. But NADA does.
It says low end retail- $1500. Average- $3350. High retail-$5600. That is when I plugged in my zip code. It will vary from region to region.
Like they said look at Craigslist in your area as well as autotrader.com,
classiccar.com and others to get at least a ballpark figure.

He lives in Ohio. Lots of rust up there. That will affect the value.
