Those late pedals won't work. Something about they are different where they bolt up somewhere, might be the dash. For a bolt in, you need 86-down pedals.
It's sounding like you got a zf 5 speed if you got it out of a f250. Does it have the external slave cylinder? If it does, I think I remember someone using the original mechanical setup(that's what you have correct?) and modifying the rod underneath to actuate the clutch arm instead of the slave. Maybe someone will come by and say something about that.
If you want to(or have to) use the hydraulic setup, like I said you need a earlier set of hydraulic pedals, and will need to punch the holes out in the firewall for the clutch master to mount.
If the trannies are within a inch of being the same length, everything else should work.

The slave is internal on the 89 trans. The trans on my 82 is mechanical. I would prefer to keep the mechanical setup but if I can't I also have a set of pedals from an 85 f250 4x4.
The 85 pedals will work. Since it has the internal slave, you will HAVE TO use the hydraulic setup. You will like the overdrive once you get it installed.
I will like the truck fixed for sure and the overdrive will be a much nicer setup. I got the parts for a good deal so im excited about it. I was just not sure if I had everything I needed
I would also install the firewall brace. Not required, but lots easier to do it up front than repair the firewall if it cracks. And many did as Ford put out a TSB on the problem within the first year of the hydraulic setup coming out.
