OK. Trying to find an engine wiring harness for 1984 Ranger. A yard in Colorado has a recently added 84 Bronco II which they say has the 2.8, 5speed, 4x4 as does my Ranger. The fellow in Colorado says that most people get the VIN of the donor and have a Ford dealer compare to the VIN of the recipient to determine compatibility.
No chance on part no. Just had a yard respond to automated search. Says he has a grade A wiring harness off the exact same vehicle. $175 delivered. 90-day warranty. I'm taking a chance on it.
$175.... I'd fix mine. Really the most expencive things are connectors. they usually made by Deutch, sometimes AMP so you can easily purchase contacts and rewire your engine.
