The line from my evap can purge valve to the intake manifold split. I called the dealership and they said that the part was no longer available. He said my only option is to rig something up myself.
Not sure what yours looks like, but it shouldn't be too hard to come up with something. The evap lines for my Aerostar were split and I just replaced them with vacuum line that I got from Napa. There were some elbows that had different diameters on either end, but the vacuum line stretched enough to fit over the larger diameter. If you have issues adapting, you can buy hose barb fittings (elbows, tees, unions, etc.) that will reduce/expand one or two sizes down/up.
When replacing an elbow with straight tubing, make sure the bend radius isn't so tight that the tubing is kinked. Or, just use some hose barb elbows. But, the fewer connections you have, the fewer possible leak points.
Take it off and go to Auto Zone... Tell them you need to "REPLACE THIS".. They should have a rubber hose or fittings and a steel gas line, etc, that you can "make something". If bigger, I have used a soft copper tube 1/2, 5/8, from the hardware store, bend to shape, and use a rubber hose on each end to complete.
Mikeman - My line is just like yours. It popped right where those different sized elbows are, and I lost one of the rubber connectors. I took some shrink tube and reconnected them that way. No detectable leaks, code hasn't popped on...I think I'm good to go!
Thanks again
edit: Mine weren't actually elbows, or really hose barbs. They look like plastic hose barbs with a single barb on the end. They were different diameter, and connected by big rubber plug-looking things. Anyways, it's fixed now.
