upgading system

Since the sub in the MTX enclosure blew, thinking about upgrading system. I am currently running a Sony Xplod cd deck w/ a 10 disc changer. I have Boston acoustic CX8 2-way door speakers in front and rear doors running off a MTX thunder 204 amp. What I am considering adding is 3 JL 10w6v2's running off a 1200 watt Performance Teknique amp, a Sony XE-90MkII 9 band graphic EQ, and an Audio Control Epicenter. I can get all this equipment brand new for $1200.00. So what do you think worth it? Only thing Im sceptical about is the amp, never really heard of brand. Will I need to add tweeters as well? I have a 2000 Expy and want to have a box built for the sub to go behind the 3rd row seat. What would be the best placement of the subs, firing down, up or?? Also where would be a good place for the sub amp? All advice and Ideas more thabn welcome..
Thanks
Ray
