The floor rust in my 68 is all in the corner and slightly up on the side as well as the lower corner of the door opening. Will the patch panels you buy cover these areas?
The DC panels that I used were plenty big. It ran from the firewall seam, down and across the floor and then curved up maybe 2". From the kick panel across the floor and curved 2" up the center hump. The kick panel edge is a straight flat edge. I had to weld in new kick panels in mine.
Here's a picture during my floor pan replacement. I got mine from LMC they seem alittle bit thin but the fitment wasn't to bad. Now when it comes to the cab mounts they are junk all around. Dennis carpenter has better quality cab mounts but not sure if the floor pans are also thicker as well or not. I haven't seen anyone make kick panel patches yet that I know of. I still need to latch mine as they are rusted about 5-6" above the floor pan. I was thinking of making an access door while I'm at it to clean out in the rocker area from time to time.
Here's what I'm dealing with. Odd the truck is not too rusty on the body and the undercarriage has the worst rust. Probably from so many gravel road miles in it's life.
