1996 F150 push button low range

1996 F150 push button low range
Hello,
Our 1996 F150 4x4 automatic (BW1356) goes into high range with no problem but not low range. I have read many post and printed out the troubleshooting steps. Shift Module self test good, neutral signal good, speed sensor should be 225-275 ohms mine is 282.2 is that the culprit or is that close enough? Also the shift motor positions do not match the chart at all. I removed the encoder from the motor and spun it by hand and did get some open and closed signals. My question is will 4 wheel high always work even if the motor/encoder position is off? I found a dorman replacement motor for $80 but want to make sure that is the problem. I also bought a early 90s bronco electric shift BW 1356 t-case for parts in case I have a internal problem so if anyone needs parts let me know.
