A Question

1994 Ford F350 Crew Cab Flatbed

Did this thing come from the factory that way, or was it a single wheel. I usually only see 4X4 duallys of this era in a single cab config. Thanks!

Coulda been factory. I've seen 4x4 crew drw. I've seen a good amount of dump and stake body crew drw 4x4. Maybe they sold a lot of cab n chassis also....

As far as I know these trucks never came from the factory with drw and 4x4, it was always one or the other.

It's either a dually converted to 4x4, or vice versa.

The ONLY way to get a 4wd dually from the factory was as a cab-n-chassis. ANY 4wd Dually PICKUPS you have seen have been converted.

As for the Craigs List ad, hard to say if a cab-n-chassis or pickup. Easiest way to tell is door jam sticker. But I am going to say SRW truck converted to dually and a flatbed was added.

Pickup will have...
10k GVW for dually pickup
9K GVW for SRW pickup
164" Wheel base for Pickup
3" rear leaf springs for pickup

Cab-n-chassis will have
11,000 GVW for cab-n-chassis
161" wheel base for cab-n-chassis(never seen a factory 4 door cab-n-chassis)
2.25" rear leaf spings

an even easier way to tell is this: C/C trucks have a 33 inch wide frame. pickups have a 36 inch wide frame.
so if the rear frame rails are 33 inches wide, it is probably factory.
if the rear rails are 36 inches wide, it was made into a 4X4 dually.
