Highboy dually
I posted a similar question a week or so ago and got no answer. I'm trying to find out if the Highboy 4x4 ever came with a dual wheel rear axle from the factory.
I have a '74 Highboy that has a dual wheel Dana 60 and there's another truck near me with the same setup (also a Highboy).
My truck has all of the other typical Highboy components (divorced NP 205, narrow front leaf springs, straight frame, etc.)
Any helpful information will be appreciated.

I dont belive they ever came that way from the factory, but since they have narrow springs and a narrower frame width in the rear than the 2wd f250 you can put dualie wheels on them. you just have to get a adapter to run the dualie wheels on the front, or run the single wheel.
the "highboy" 4x4 is almost identical to the f350 2wd of their day when it comes to the rear half of the truck, with the exception of the 4" block to raise it to match the height of the 4x4.
also the only truck to have a dualie from the factory is the f350 and bigger, and since they didnt make a f350 4x4 I am pretty sure there was never a 4x4 dualie from the factory in the years before 1977.
