Idle problem
I have a 2000 f350 v10, truck starts and drives fine, but when idling with the defrost on the engine revs to almost 2000 rpms. I do know the a/c comp. Kicks on then. If i turn the hvac off my idle drops and it sounds like i have race cams in it. The cel has not illuminated yet, i am stumped.

Clean your IAC and mass air meter. While doing this, unhook the ground from the battery to get the computer to reset. It's free and should make a difference. Also, look for any vacuum leaks.
