New to me '05 EXCURSION! !
Hey I'm new to 6.0's what should i do and don't. I know there is so much to know but any help would be appreciated. I'm sure this topic has been beat to death but I don't feel like reading for days haha.
This is going to be for my fiance and it's the baby hauler so I want it reliable and safe I also plan on a mild lift in the spring and a tuner for economy. So if you guys could point me in a direction of brands for that and EGR delete kits that would be great thanks

Welcome to FTE Devil Dog! 0311/8151/RAC fwd Gunner-M2 (didnt have MOS then) here.
Maintenance is key to the 6.0, second only to finding a way to monitor the health of the engine. ScanGage2 is popular ($120), also the Torque app for android ($30 total cost) forgot the apple app. All in all 6.0 is a great engine just need to keep on the PM unlike other vehicles where you can get away with slacking.

EGR Delete Kits - Lots of opinions on them but Sinister seems to be popular. I dont have one, just one more reason for me to get out of CA ASAP
for tuning Get the Atlas 40 tune for the FICM that will help a lot for economy. SCT is a good tuner for the main comp stay away from bullydog they dont react well with the tranny.
Most importantly Drive it and enjoy it.
