Which do you reccomend??

Well I see you carry a variety of tuners. I will be looking at getting one for my 05 6.0 4x4 CC LB eventually but am unsure which to get. My brother like his superchips alot for his 7.3, and my friend loves his edge for his 6.0. Truck will be daily driver and towing 38' toy hauler. I was going to install a larger exhaust but was told the 6.0's act up with the exhaust and no tuner to compensate for the backpressure and egr stuff. I am also experiencing surging on a steady hill due to the egr opening at constant rpms. It will be going to ford for that. Which would you suggest for me and is there a concern with a tuner and unplugging the egr electrical connection as I have seen on this forum. Any idea would be great. Also am concerned about dealership finding out about tuner. So I would need it to be able to be put to stock before it goes there.

All three, SCT, Diablo and Superchips are good products. Easiest to use: Superchips. Best low end power: Diablo. Most options, SCT. Decide which is the highest priority and pick the tuner. You won't be unhappy with any of them. The tuner won't fix any EGT issues, though unplugging it won't cause problems so long as this is for off-road use.

How heavy is the load (trailer length doesn't matter, weight does)? Do you ever plan to stack it with a fueling box?

trailer weighs about 14k dry, probably 16-17k fully loaded. Do you mean extra fuel tank, if so probably not.

Okay, with that high of a load I recommend sticking with Superchips. Overall people tend to like their shifting best with high loads. You're also going to need an EGT gauge with those types of loads, you're pretty much maxing out the factory tow capacity of the truck and the exhaust temps will climb.

With the edge though would the shifts be better because of the defueling or possibly make it worse because of heavy loads?

The Edge fueling box defuels to lower exhaust temps. The Edge shifting, or any fueling box for that matter, is pretty bad because it doesn't to anything to the computer to reprogram it, and that includes not programming the transmission. The defueling of the Edge isn't going to do a thing for shifting.

wow, i came back to edit my post and you already added new info. Thanks for that!! Also with that kind of weight would it be safe to tow with the lowest setting(i believe to be the towing mode) or am I better off towing with stock settings which would seem pointless to get the tuner then, correct?

Edit** Im also running a lifted truck on 35" tires and 3.73 gearing. My brother runs this in his truck and it pulls well plus i wont be pulling that often so I dont really want to change gears. Your opinions on this??
