went to look at a 94 F-350 4x4 crewcab, only thing
i dont like is that its an XL with no power options(power windows or locks)Can i add these with factory parts and what years
interchange????I know the 92-96 will how about the 87-91??
I have looked at this too. (not too far in depth). I figure if you got 2 doors from the salvage yard you could just switch over the parts. You will have to do some extra wiring since the factory power harness won't be there. This way you will have the correct door panels too. Another note on crewcabs, I think that even if it was equipped with power windows and locks, the rear doors still had manual windows (correct me if i'm wrong). As for interchange, 92-96 because you will need the new door trim panels.
The crewcabs did have power windows/locks on the rear doors. My dad had a 97 with it.
Keep this post going though, I want to see everyones responses, I'd like to do the same thing to my 94 XL.

Power in all 4 windows was an option in 94, found a salvage yard
with the 4 motors.. $35 a motor, Now are the window regulators
different????I assume so with the crank handle??
And anyone know if the wiring is tucked away in the kick panels
for the power options or even in the doors??At least the front doors?
i have an 84 f350 crew, got rear doors off a 96 crew w/power,bolted right up ,harness was under carpet, had to punch 2 holes in b piller.got front doors off 94 f150(p/w,p/l,p/mirrors)bolted up great, but harness cut at door jamb(19 wires in damn thing) can't seem to find good harness, only fits crew cab,not having much luck finding wiring diagram either.will figure it out sooner or later with an electric ice pick and an ohmeter, but would make it easier with a diagram....if this helps, the 80 thru 91 doors have 3 rivets holding the regulater, power and manual are interchangable, the newer doors seem to be completly different inside, don't know if you can just change the guts.
We have a 93 F350 XLT Crewcab 4X4, it has the power front windows, but manual rears, but, it has power doorlocks on all 4 doors, real weird, you'd think that if it had power door locks all around that the windows would be there too?
they started putting power in the rears in 94,they have full size glass, without the little vent window looking thing.you can't convert the 93 down doors to power,no room for motor ..94 up doors will bolt right up ,but have an extra body line about an inch from the bottom.
I have a 94 XLT that has manual windows and locks, well it did. I switched the manual locks to power when I had a remote start with keyless entry installed--not much to it. BUT I've aded power windows before and NEVER again. Could never get it to work like a factory setup even with a high quality kit. And I used factory switches, etc. Good luck if you decide to try it and you may want to talk to some local car audio installers as they may have done this before.
