For those of you who painted your own grille/ hood cap, what kind of paint did you use? I have an oem grille and ordered the paintable hood cap that I'm ordering factory paint for to spray it myself. Should I put clear on it to protect it? I'm also getting flexible plastic paint primer for primer. As for the grille, I'm painting it black but want a paint that holds up well. Don't mean to jack the thread, just thought I'd ask those whove done it!

fwiw, those bolts circled in red above need to bee all the way into the V slot to line up with he hood holes. I did not need the metal clips circled in yellow.
