HPOP/Fuel Bowl R&R

Hey guys I'm not looking for a "how to", but more of an exactly what I need. My friends truck, a late 99 has a nasty oil leak that he thought was the rear main. I told him I was sure it wasn't the rear main but probably coming from the oil system up top. Sure enough I checked and saw oil seeping from the fitting to HPOP for one of the lines. Ok while we're there and have it apart we're gonna address all possible oil leaks on top. Here's the list...

HPOP line drivers side
HPOP line passenger side
HPOP mounting gasket
IPR reseal kit
NOW....To re oring the fittings to HPOP will the RR Diesel "Extended HPOP oring kit be enough, or do I still need the "7" oring HPOP kit too? Or should I just order two of the fittings and be done with it( and are they BOTH the SAME type fitting? The extended kit has the IPR oring kit but not the spacer and nut.
And if I replace the fittings will the basic"7" oring HPOP kit be enough for the HPOP?
Fuel bowl re seal kit.
I already have the line removal tool so I'm covered there.
If you could take a look at this list and make sure I have everything covered I would really appreciate it. Thanks..Phil

Is it really coming out of the line fittings or from the non-rebuildable plug?

Idling you can see it seeping from the fitting to HPOP for the passenger side line, but you can load it and see it pouring out from the fitting to HPOP. It's oily at the plug too so we're just gonna do a full out reseal up top. It has 482.000 miles on it, all stock lines and all. Also the truck is in pretty damn good shape and we're thinking of buying it for our 17 yo son. Sooo...

Lucky you. My leak is the non serviceable plug so I just gave up on it after reading the horror stories.

Just a clarification, It is not Loctite red. I would hate to see someone use red and then have issues later. It is actually Loctite 680.

Loctite 680 Retaining Compound - Henkel

I used it on the unservicable plug and on the pump discharge fittings.

Schlepprock, if you need some I have a bottle sitting on the shelf. Clay includes a small amount in the O-ring kits also.

Bump...does anyone have any input on my parts list for an HPOP reseal job? I'm actually doing an HPOP reseal on his truck and mine as well. We're doing this over the holiday/this coming up week so I'm wanting some reassurance on the parts list because having additional parts shipped will be out of the question. We're rolling out for our annual Gatlinburg road trip pulling our TT on Saturday the 27th and need to get this done by then. I have to work this Monday and Tuesday so I need to have all the parts together to order tonight. Still hoping for an overnight shipment from Clay to receive them by Tuesday. Any help will be appreciated..Phil

Just a heads up for you on the over night shipping. There is apparently some kind of shipping/dock worker labor dispute of some kind on the West coast/ SF bay area. Don't know if this would impact something from Clay or not, but I had a windshield wiper blade sitting in Sacramento for almost four days last week and it was shipped from a town about 150 miles away from there.
