I have a 1990 e350 with the EFI 351.. went to move it last night and it wouldnt start. cranks fine, both batteries are good.. I can hear the fuel pump prime, CEL comes on when I try to start it... sprayed a little starting fluid, and it attempted to start on the ether.... i have good spark, tested all cylinders.. I do not have fuel coming into the engine, but I have 48 PSI at the rail.. what controls the Injectors firing on this? could it be a bad TFI module? did that on my GMC last year..thanks in advance
I had the same problem on a '92 351W couple months back, tried everything, it would "run" on starting fluid sprayed into the TB, and I also had back firing from the intake (lack of fuel) Short story, it ended up being the MAP, replaced and it fired right up like nothing was wrong with it in the first place
