Look at the sidewall wear! Those are Firestones too...hope they aren’t compromised.

I’m about to have to do this when I swap to V and Mod B’s with 35”ers. Thanks for the mod idea!

I found this thread trying to verify that new Vs and 35s would work out together. I'd be sick to spend $1400 on tires to find out it was going to be a bust. Still nervous, but I think it will be ok.

The rubbing isn’t bad IMO and if it bugs some folks, this is a cheap fix.

The springs I’m getting have a taller rear block and 2” drop shackles and his 35” tires rubbed the inner fender wells and he had to trim the front corner of the front fenders.
Look at the tech folder up top and see everyone’s measurements before and after springs.

I have been reading that. Just no definitive answers it seems. Some yes, some no.

The 275s are 34.1"

My 77 f150, 78 bronco and 79 f250 had this from the factory, wonder why ford stopped doing this in the first place?

I have a little tire rub on the front springs at full steering lock, has been like this for the past four years, I do intend to do the steering stop mod someday but for now I just back off on the steering wheel a bit to quiet things down. I wouldn't characterize the rubbing as a bust.......

Good to know! Thanks for the confirmation.

I'm hoping my CL mojo improves and can find a set of take offs locally. It's a dry hole at the moment.

I did this mod 3 years ago.

Worked great! I took it for granted...a couple months ago I went to a D60 and my tires rub pretty good now.

Time to break out the drill....
