I haven't been contributing much here lately because I've been BUSY at my new job - (re) building 7.3 trucks!! Thanks to everything I learned from the Brotherhood, I have given up working out of town and get to play with PSD's for a living!!
This truck was a theft-recovery with 147k miles, but 'parts-only' title. I put together a cab (with a clean title) and swapped it over. While it was apart, I thoroughly cleaned and degreased the chassis and painted it as well as the engine.
Lots of new parts were used, Int'l bellowed up-pipes, turbo and pedestal rebuild, GP's, VC gaskets and UVCH's, ICP, CPS, T500, IPR, CNC Fab HPO lines, Riffraff plenum inserts, boots and clamps, starter, steering box, idler/tensioner pulleys, 203* t-stat and billet housing, custom veggie conversion with SS engine lines/hoses from veggiegarage.com, an Excursion fuel tank mounted in sparè tire location for vegetable oil and probably some other stuff.
Nice job Jason !!! Someone must have some deep pockets to have you do all that work to the truck for them. I'm jealous I wish I could afford to have you do a veggie truck for me. Now on the photo of the Android Head unit is that Torque Pro set up? What model head unit is that?
Thanks guys. Yes, Excursion fuel tank in spare tire location is for the vegetable oil tank. And I have a waiting list if customers that want trucks like this and much nicer. One in the que right now is a 2007 CCSB 4wd that is getting a rebuilt 7.3 and 4r100 - with a large budget for new and upgraded parts! I'm also working on 'F650 trucks' using school bus chassis' and Super Duty cabs (7.3/444 of course!)
The android HU does have Torque installed, but my cheap dongle doesn't work. I can't recommend this unit yet (not enough experience), but it was under $300 on fleabay and came from hongkong 4 days after I ordered it!
