Super curious to hear how this works out.
I haven't tried it, but the 465 with a C seems like it'd be a really good combo...
Thanks AB!! I can't wait to see how this combo goes as well.

I think you will love that combo. Funny, I should have my C soon too. My DP is for sale. Good luck with it. Take your time dialing it in.
Well the carb isn't plated just the fuel bowls are chrome plated I got them for free from my brother in law. Just the length of the intake runners that's all its not threw out the whole intake that's ported and my brother in law actually just bought a used A/F ratio meter just tune my carburetor haha. Hey F250 I'm thinking of going back to my headers I'm not sure though yet I'm just throwing the idea around.

"Whack!" That was me smacking you with a yard stick.
But if you don't mind the heat, and it doesn't affect the holley, or you wrap them, and don't mind using a crow bar to install/remove your starter, or use a smaller efi starter, then I say go for it. I think I'd run a cool air intake for mpg, as I'm planning on doing. I suppose you could have them ceramic coated for $250 or so. I thought the aftermarket hp hood that looks like a 6" scoop that faces the windshield would be ideal. Heat escapes and rain doesn't get in.

Let me know what you decide.
Hahaha :-P I said I was throwing the idea around I haven't done it yet. But then I would have to redo the exhaust and that's something I don't want and then I remember that I had a exhaust leak from the header. Cold air intake like the one you could make from Spectre??
Haha and thanks for listing all the cons of using the header!!!
The header sucks. I couldn't for the life of me figure out where all my issues were coming from until I found out I wasn't alone. Throw some EFI mannies on there and call it a day.

That's what I have on my 300 now I ditched my header after I had two starters go south of the border. I found some new ford oem efi manifolds off eBay not the cheap aftermarket ones I payed a little more but they were worth the money.
Well looks like I'll be keeping the EFI mannies. ;-)
I think that is wise. That choice eliminates the possibility of heat disturbing the beauty rest of your new carb. When do we get to see the vid of it running?
Off topic: I finally pulled the trigger and ordered all the parts, gaskets and porting bits, etc., to remove the ridges from my combustion chambers. My valves are severely shrouded. I'm certain to feel a performance boost. Lower c.r. slightly too. I'm finally bringing the valve spring, rocker, p.rod geometry to correct parameters. Because the over-size vales were longer than oem, I've needed longer p.rods to compensate. Now, with roller rockers I'll be able to test and compensate. It will also be interesting--hopefully not expensive--to see how my guides have worn.
