So after testing with the pcm disconnected I have no continuity. So now to replace the pcm and the relay. Due to the pcm that is in there I am looking at $1000 for the pcm and another $80 for the solenoid thru Ford. Ouch. Any ideas on a good place to get a good one in a hurry? Also is there such a thing as a performance version?
You will take it in the shorts going through Ford. Look on Fleabay, I have seen them for a couple hundred bucks. Need to match up the numbers and you should be good.

X2 (EBay, auto Recycling, junk yard, etc.).
What is your PCM code?
Edit: the Stancor relay is beefier and will last longer than the stock relay. Do a quick search or look on Guzzles website, I think they run $60-$70.
You could always run a switch in the cab to run the glow plugs manually and bypass the PCM. Pretty simple to do. Many folks have done it just to help extend battery life. search "glow Plug LED mod"
This way you can take your time finding a PCM and look into using a different model that could yield more available programs....
Especially if it's only the glow plug control circuit that is giving you problems.
Ok so just to close this out. I replaced the relay and the PCM. I made a trip over the holidays from Oklahoma to Montana and back. No cold starting issues. It even started in -23 degrees in Cheyenne Wyoming. Thank you everyone for your help. I will check more into that stancor relay in the future as I am now getting ready to move. I have recently developed a new problem that I will start a new thread on. It is a rough idle, and now a no start with codes p1316 and intake Air Heater circuit low voltage. Again I will start a new thread.
