Gas Tank relocation

Hi all

So im moving my gas tank to under the bed on my 68. I know allot of people have done this. I have the 68 mustang tank. I was wondering what gas tank straps to use for this. Any help would be great.

I think it would be easy to make them out of some flat stock steel. Maybe 1" or 3/4" wide 1/8" thick. Just take a look at the indentations in the tank.

Thanks for the response and idea. i think i could make it out of some 1 inch and custom fit it.

You do not use straps on a Mustang tank swap.

A 68 Mustang tank is only 16 gallons. Shouldda gone for the 22g from a '70.

Ya i know they don't make the straps for the mustang tanks. But i do want to make sure its solid so i am gonna use straps. HIO silver thanks for the how too. I definitely wish i would of done the 22, still might change it out.
