Well just got a project truck 1938 international 1/2 ton on a 1937/38 Ford frame, flat head 60 hp I believe with 3 speed . Looking at replacing engine and transmission automatic sort of Rat Rod style. Any suggestions would be helpfull . Mississauga Ontario Cheers

For me I don't know quite what to say. Does the '37-'38 chassis have hydraulic brakes? That's at least a good start. A lot of people on this site shy away from the rat rod subject. If the engineering and workmanship is safe, then I say "get creative". Welcome, and do it the way you want, but show pictures when you can.

Welcome to the site. Sounds like a neat project you have there. What kind of engine and trans are you going with? I think perhaps what is throwing folks of is that it's an International body with a Ford frame. Throw some pictures up here when you get a chance.

Thanks yes to hydrolic brakes. I will post a couple pics. Maybe because I am new I am not autherized to do so yet. Will be looking for a small block and auto transmission. thanks
