Hey guys been along time. I had trouble with my brakes so I thought it was the booster. The brakes stop ok but the pedal won't return all the way up. I replaced the whole disk\disk power brake system and it still doing the same thing. OK some good news I GOT A BRAND NEW 2014 MODEL GRANDSON. That makes two.
I don't know about your brakes, but someone else had the same trouble not that long ago, so stay tuned someone should chime in. OK, now on to the good news "Rite on" it truly warms my heart for reasons that you already know, blessings my friend.

You say booster so I assume power brakes? If that is the case in all the types I have seen the pedal does not attach to the booster, it only pushes on a plunger inside the booster. A spring returns this type of pedal so the only thing I can think of that would cause it not to return is binding in one of the pivots or linkages.
Hey guys. Thankfully, after re doing all the brake lines and hoses, I start the drum work. I got new shoes and kit for the rear and I just can’t figure out what’s wrong here. Doing everything with a video and still, one shoe just end up way high and I cannot close the drum right.
please help- see att

What are the wheel cylinders like? Make sure the pistons are free in the bores and you can push the little push rods back in, also completely back off the parking brake cable adjustment and make sure that the cable is free and not stuck and the parking brake lever is all the way in the disengaged position.
Also your residual pressure check valve may be causing you problems, try opening the bleeder valve and see if that helps.
Also make sure that the cross piece for the parking brake is seated properly, that is a trick piece to get in correctly

im starting to suspect my assembly is not right. I think the shoes might be on the opposite side of where they need to be, same goes for the hardware.
at least from pics online and as a comparison to the other rear wheel (needs to mirror it correct? )
The shoes and hardware look correctly installed. Looking at the upward angle of the rear wheel cylinder rod to brake shoe it appears the wheel cylinder piston is stuck. Brake fluid will draw moisture and if the truck has been sitting for long time it is a good indication the pistons are stuck. Lift the rubber boot and see if it’s corroded.
