Felt like my truck was a bit too dark at night at times. Decided to add some interior blue lights. Figured I would share. Let me know if you think they are tacky so I can remove lol Nah I like them a lot though! Hooked them up through AUX 1 Upfitter switch.
I have a friend that has a cab full of isspro gauges. A while back he switched to the blue color scheme, fast forward a few months and he is at his optometrist with the complaint that he is losing his night vision. They chat for a while and it gets mention d that he has a good cab full of blue lighted gauges. That will do it says the Doc so he switches back to green and within a short period of time his night vision is back to normal. He didn't just have issues driving, it was anytime it was dark.
I think the blue looks awesome, just wanted to give you a heads up in case you encounter the same issue.
I agree, the blue looks really cool. However, I doubt that you can see very far down the road at night when they're on...there's a reason that military aircraft set up for Night Flights only use green on their instrument panels... they want to preserve their night vision.
