Got off work yesterday and found this in the parking lot a couple spaces down from my truck. Turns out its a recent purchase for one of the guys I work with. Talked to him for a minute. It's an'06, didn't think to ask if it's a 6.0 but I guess it would be? King ranch leather inside without the Logo, Amarillo color but no logo. (I'm sure Many of you guys will approve of the paint color ) I asked him what he's planning to pull with it and he smiled and said "I got a johnboat". Man, this thing is BIG!
My little F250 in the background (not me in the pic lol)
Interesting to me he said it's a 2006 but it has the embossed tailgate and square mirrors of the later models. Bed lines up great, doesn't look like it was added later. Does Ford sell trucks configured like this or do you have to put them together yourself? There is another one locally in black with a bunch of chrome underneath -yup, it had mirrors on the ground under it- I saw at a car show last year. Train horns about 3ft long, a standard bed but it had hydraulic dump. Definately had some serious bucks in that monster.
Sweet!!!
He doesn't happen to be a tournament bass fisherman does he?
2006 F350 4X4
He does some fishing (most of us around here do ), but I don't think he does the tournament stuff. Mostly a car/truck guy, he's a got a few toys, small sports cars, lowered 1ton quad cab GMC, mostly odd stuff. Heck, he drives a very clean deuce and a half to work sometimes. Full military paint and canvas cover on the back!

That's my kinda stuff. Reason I asked is skeet Reese(I think it is) drives one of those to pull his boat all over the country--not many like that around.
either a cat or a cummins, they were the engines put into these until this year when it will be the 6.7. If he is lucky he got a cat much better than the other.
Geeessshhh that is as big as a class 7 or looks like it anyway.
Any body remember what year Ford started back makeing their big trucks again.
I know in 2000 and 2001 Sterling had the contract.
So Ford did sell these trucks with a pick-up bed already installed? We have a five ton box truck at work. International with a VT365, about the same size cab just not a four door.
They cam with your choice of drive train. Isb, c5 or a 6.0
... but a greatly de-rated output version of the 6.0 if I'm not mistaken from the version in the F-250 to F-550, making the ISB or the CAT 3126 the more attractive option.
Wow, didn't know they came with a 6.0 option. We have a few 750's at work and they have the cummins in them. Pretty fun to drive...feels like your way up there!
