Manual Glow plug bypass was half assed done by the po's old mechanic (he took off the bunsbar, hooked the gp wires to the right lug) un hooked every other wore other than the 2 yellow battery wires on the left lug, and then proceeded to hook up the push button like you would for a starter cylinoid.
So I hooked everything up the way it should be ( minus the bunsbar) and low and behold the relay now works (well kinda) wts light kicks on and the relay clicks when the button is pushed but still no glow plug action.
So I decided to break out the ol test light have my gf push the button and no power to the glow plugs.
Also with key on I have power to the (s) lug of the relay but no power key on or off to the left lug where the 2 yellow battery wires go.
he replaced the relay with a start relay. its grounded thru the metal that mounts it. the correct relay is not grounded buy its mounting bolts. they look similar but are very different in operation. the controller grounds the relay to heat the glows. and requires a floating ground relay. on the relay you have the I post is common with the load side of the relay only when relay is energized. it is not the correct relay and can not be made to function correctly with a controller.
