best intake manifold for a 460
This has been covered alot and a search would serve you well. In my opinion, assuming you have a stock 460 a edelbrock performer would be your best choice; enhanced performance while maintaining good torque and low end. I've got one sitting on my shelf (one of these days I've got to put it on ebay or something) that I used for a year and was very happy with it. I only pulled it off when I hopped up my engine. If your engine is built up healthily, i.e. heads worked, headers, higher comp, cam, then the performance 385 guys swear by the Weiand Stealth. With a properly matched engine you get great top end and your lower end remains strong too. The stealth is preferred over the ebok rpm, although that is another good choice. I assume we aren't talking about a race engine so I won't go into those choices.

Now if it's to the last foot-pound of torque the best or not. I can't really say but I can say that my totally stock except for straight up timing set 460 pulls well all over with a Weiand Stealth and a Holley 750 on it. Good off idle responce and torque. Over 3000 rpm it is deceptivly fast. I find myself going over 80 now inadvertantly all the time in my 7200 pound E350. It just feels like a big tailwind it does it so easy.
