I had a Cocker Spaniel when I was kid. Great dog. I still miss her.
My dad had mutt at the same time, part Terrier and ???. She looked like a miniature Lab. Also a great dog, but completely loyal to him, didn't have much time or patience for us kids.
My brother has a 2 month old Basset Hound, yep, her name is Flash. Great dog, good disposition, just not much good other than for a house dog. Real cute though.
I voted lab, I think I want my next dog to be a real nice chocolate. Good companion, great for hunting. I'd consider a German Shorthair too, they're amazing, just a little too hyper.
I need a bigger yard and some time before I commit to owning a dog.
got a yellow lab thats about 16 months old. and, he is ready to go if you know what i mean. wish i could find him a pretty little girl in the area to spend some time with
Pete the Boston Terrier (27lbs not fat) and Shadow Boxer(73 lbs and trim) both own Diablo the black cat and all the humans in our house
Both dogs were rescued from abusive/poor prior owners and have been nursed back to health and all bad behaviors modified to the level that they all can peacibly co-exist.
Shadow was forced to fight pits by being burn tortured and was the greatest challenge my wife and I ever had rescuing a dog.
Pete was left for dead at age 2 with heart worm so bad vet had to do three poisinings and we kept him inactive for over 5 months (try that with a hyper terrior!) Now 8 and the most intelligent dog we have ever known.
I have two black labs,
Abbey and Muddy one female and other male...
Abbey is a girl dog and she owns me even sleeps on my bed...Spoiled, and muddy is my hunting partner..
I have never owned any other dogs except labs
