Morning everyone. I hope you all had a great weekend.
I have my 97 F150 wheels up getting tires finally! The dry-rot on the current ones is getting dangerous. Having them spin them before mounting to make sure they are not warped/bent. if they are I guess I will just put new tires on the stock wheels.
Howdy Greg! I'm going to take my diesel up to the dealer, possibly trading it off for a -150. Really don't need the diesel anymore, and with fuel being a dollar higher than gas right now.....
Greg, never had a camper. Did sell the boat last summer, though. So, it's getting tough to justify the cost of running a diesel, to just drive to work and back!

I thought you had a 5th wheel or something like a large RV in your sig pic at one time.
I thought diesel got more mileage to make the higher cost of fuel more acceptable.
I have heard the pros and cons of diesel powered vehicles, and have come to the understanding that the only profitable way to own one is if it is used constantly on long trips. Yes it gets better mpg than a gas engine powered truck, but the upkeep and higher cost of diesel fuel isn't economical unless you use it constantly. Especially for the OBS style and above where the replacement parts (read injectors) are more expensive. That is just my formed opinion after spending time in the diesel forums back when I was looking for a truck to use in my now defunct car flipping business.
Although we need the rain, this weather sucks. Just waiting to see if I'm going to ge able to work today. If it's to slippery, they send everyone home.
I understand the safety issues involved, but you just have to drive safe. I like mud boggin', plus it's a 6 wheel drive!
Oh well....Safety first!
