parts needed for timing cover swap?
Well, I'm screwed. Had a leaking oil cooler on early '03 7.3 PSD. Told my guy to just remove everything & use a ratchet strap to get the ends back on to the oil cooler pipe instead of beating them on. So to save the time of pulling the TWO FREAKING BOLTS holding the front elbow to the timing cover, he just pulls the oil filter adapter & leaves the front on then tries to ratchet strap it all back together ON THE ENGINE. Needless to say, he broke the @%@ing timing cover.
So I'm told pulling the engine is the only route. Anyone have a parts list of what will be REQUIRED as far as parts/gaskets? Any tips? thanks

You'll need a water pump gasket, front cover gasket set with HPOP gasket and reservoir gaskets, and a tube of sealant from Ford or International. I think Ford's number for the sealant is TA31, and it's available in a stubby caulking gun sized tube. You might get by with leaving the engine in if you're careful to get all the sealing surfaces extremely clean, particularly where the front cover meets the oil pan. You may as well put a new front seal on the oil pump too while you have the balancer off.
