Admit that they do buy them for the bling.
Admit that people don't have to buy new stock ones.
Admit that all the people that talk about them don't know all this.

I think you should sell your EX, that's a great idea, I am sure they have a Toyota Corolla forum that could really use all your expertise Brent..
I would like to think people aint THAT stupid, but I guess it's possible? Heck, anything is.
But, most people buy them because they either prefer manual hubs, or because their stockers break and they get sticker shock when they see how much NEW OEM hubs cost, so they go the aftermarket route. Not because they look better than the OEM ones.
Admit that people don't have to buy new stock ones.
Have you forgotten how many times I've stated the same thing as you when it comes to servicing the OEM hubs? Advising people to service them...to help people and try and save them money...so they don't feel the need to buy replacement hubs?
Admit that all the people that talk about them don't know all this.
There's no way I would agree to a statement like that when you use an absolute like that.
There's no way anyone can make the claim "that ALL the people that talk about them..." ("them" being hubs), don't know about the preventive maintenance.
I think a lot of the guys here who offer help with hubs are acquainted with the service/maintenance that can be done with the OEM hubs. I've seen others (not just me) point people to the tech folder advising them about the maintenance help found there.
Anyway, like I've said many, many times before, working OEM hubs are a heckuva lot more convenient than the aftermarket ones.

I hate to say it but as far as buying them for the chrome (even though you have to look inside the hubcap to see it) I think is is a big deal maker when you consider many people fear working on the truck but they know there is extra money in the bank and replacing with aftermarket is "not that hard".
