From what I have read Eddie Bauer didn't come out until 2003 in an Excursion. So this 2001 with the small V-8 is a Limited model..... thats what it looks like to me.
I have a 2003 EB same color and trim with the 6.8 V10... I didn't know of any before mine with any smaller engines.... i have seen limited's this color too.
Ahhh, so that teaches me a LOT about the EB package! Was there any way in hell you could (or would) get a 5.4 EB though?!?
If one was paying for an upgraded trim level I don't see why anyone would want to go for the basemodel engine. I assume though that it was possible to get the 5.4 as an engine if one really wanted to... This isn't a jab at 5.4 Excursions, just an observation. (If I hadn't gotten my 6.0 on the cheapity-cheap from my parents there is no way I could afford this kind of vehicle, even with the 5.4 )
EDIT: I'm wrong (not a surprise haha). Here is the list according to cars.com (don't know how much stock to put into it, but here it is) that lists the various 2003 model year Excursion trim levels and engines.
I love the green and tan color and wish I could have found that combo when shopping for an X but it was hard enough to find a stock 2wd 7.3 in a 03 with lowish miles and not beat to death. Color was one of my last preferences.
As Ortiz mentioned they were available with all motors from 03 till thee end.
My interior also isn't black and tan, it is some brownish stuff and tan.
