E4OD 4R100 Internal Interchange

I have a 92 F-350 4x4 crew cab with a 7.5l and E4OD transmission. The overdrive planetary is destroyed and upon further inspection just about all of the hard parts are pretty worn out. In my research of this forum and other internet searches I found that the 4R100 is basically a newer version of a E4OD. My question is can I take all (or most) of the internals of a 4R100 and put them in my case? I have a 4R100 out of a 2004 Navigator that I plan to use as a donor. I know the tail shaft is different and something about a drum that runs a sensor. Can I use the valve body and/or solenoid packs? Are there any other parts I shouldn't use? I have not picked up the donor transmission yet but will over the weekend. I'm getting the whole trans for $100 and if all I get to use is the planetaries and a few other hard parts I will be money ahead. Thanks in advance for any responses.
