I purchased a new front tank/pump assembly from Spectra. I have to replace the connector on the truck side to adapt to the new pump harness. They included a new connector a wiring instructions. However, the colors they have for my truck do not match up. On the truck side I have a Red, Black, Orange, and Dark Blue/Yellow. Does someone know the functions of these wires per color? I have looked at schematics, but I really can't understand what I am looking at. The colors don't seem to match up. Thanks for any help.
Ok, I found steves pictures of the older style plug. The wires in the picture are the same as the truck side on mine. The wires going to the pump are different colors. I guess I can just use the picture and test the wire function as listed, and go from there. Thanks Steve
It looks like the older harness plugs directly into the pump at the tank with no external pigtail, so that answers my previous question. Thanks Steve
