spark plug hole question
hello everybody. my 01 5.4 has one of those spark plug repair kits in it that has the thing that screws down in there and has a longer spark plug and a shorter coil boot on it. I was changing plugs and found it. the spark plug is cross threaded in the sleeve so of course the whole thing come out. I went and bought a new one to put in there ( the whole kit again ) and it wont tighten up. I used my impact gun and got the plug out and put the old thing back in with a new plug and it will tighten up and its running again. I want to buy a tool kit and put a timesert in it so I can put a regular plug back in. my question is will a regular time sert work you think, or I need something different

Timesert has an "oversize insert " for previously failed repairs . Go to www.timersert.com to read about it .
May be you should call and talk to timesert experts to see if you need regular or oversize insert .
