Steering is squirley...

1967 F100, lowered with DJM beams, new radius arm bushings, new king pins, conversion to discs. Wheels are 15x8 w/ 255/60/15's. Power steering.

Under 35mph everything is ok.
36mph (or so) and it veers left or right based on the the wind, road crowning, bumps or butterflies flapping their wings in China.

I put a Moog Steering stabilizer on, and it doesn't seem to have calmed it down.

Any ideas? I don't know what to search for...

Check the steering coupler that connects the column to the steering box.

As always, check for any play in the system. Have the alignment checked. New tires always give me a "little" trouble till I get a few miles on them. Even tire pressure can make a difference.

Did you have this problem before you did all of this work?

Have you checked alignment? Too much toe-in can do that.

You can ballpark toe with a tape measure.

I set mine that way. Dead ahead straight. Let go of the wheel and it keeps going straight. I did that for 2 miles one time! Lol
