How do you guys thing the clusters would look with the green tint removed and still using the stock bulbs. I did it to my 86 way back when and liked it but how well would it look and has any one done it?
That doesn't look to bad at all how hard would you say it is to get the green film out? Just gotta pull the cluster then pull the lens and gages out needles off and peal the front face off the gage right then wipe it off with some rubbing alcohol or some thing? IV had them apart a few times just not in a while
That's exactly what you do. You have to take your time though with the rubbing alcohol though. If you push too hard you can end up taking off the black on the gauge face as well leaving a big spot for light to go though where it shouldn't. When I did mine it took me about 2-3 hours.
Think nail polish remover would work or would it be to strong
Unless they've changed the formula to be more environmentally kind, nail polish is just acetone with a few other ingredients in it. Almost certainly would not be good.
