Need some help..
In my quest to figure out why my 4x4 is not working i found an unplugged wire above my differential, i cannot for the life of my find where the dang thing plugs in. Right now, im having issues with rough idle at slow down or coming to a stop where it will idle down to 500 rpms and die. Only having issues when below 40 degrees. Alternator tested good and has new battery. Could this unplugged wire be the reason? Truck is a 1997 f150 4.6 v8 vin W

How many wires and what does the connector look like? Does your A/C click on when on defrost? Lot of cold weather idle issues are the IAC valve up on the throttle body. My 98 would act up when cold. I would tap it with the handle end of a big screwdriver and the idle would come up and smooth out.
