Hey guys. I need to track down the ground for the dashboard. In my 77 f250 4x4, I have no power past the fuse box. All of my fuses that are supposed to have power do, but none of my gauges, dash lights, or radio have power. The previous owner pulled a power wire from the ignition switch to an oil pressure and a water temp gauge, as well as a switched amber marker light that he hose clamped onto the steering column to light up the speedo. The fuses are not blown, which leads me to believe it's a crappy dash ground, not a short circuit. Otherwise could it possibly be the cab ground strap that runs to the intake?? Any thoughts guys?? Also, if anyone has a fuse panel diagram with the types/sizes of fuses listed I would appreciate it. Thanks guys.
I had a 77 all the lights went out on the dash. I could not find anything wrong, until I took the instrument panel out and cleaned the connections for the lights. Make sure of the connection for the lights on the board.
