Shaved door handles
AVS POWER DUAL CLAW STYLE LATCHES WITH PRE-WIRED RELAYS & 4-CHANNEL REMOTE SYSTEM - AVS
I think the AVS product will work awesome....but I think that I am more interested in being able to have the door popper than the shaved handles....somewhat undecided. That said, and being in my moment of fickleness, and not wanting to eliminate my option of keeping my factory door handles - I've decided to go a different route.
I'm on the waitlist for Mid-Fifties to get more stock on their Altman's Easy Latch bear claw unit that will function with my existing handles and/or I can remove my handles and place a stand alone actuator....then if I have any issues with an actuator failing I could hopefully replace much easier than the built in unit.
Mid-Fifty has it in steel or polished:

So, this is my plan:
Mid Fifty's kit and weld in the plate as I still need to paint.
Then use AVS stand alone dual actuators. AVS Shaved Door Kits - Universal Door Popper Kits - AVS
I have read on some threads where the heavy doors like on our trucks sometimes won't pop b/c the smaller actuators just don't have enough umpf to spring the door from the latch (That may be total BS and urban legend....but that was what the rumor mill says).
I do realize that buying two different products is going to cost me more....but I hate headaches and I'm hoping not to have something cool turn into a future hassle factory
Would like to hear others experiences and product choices.
