White Switch

I was in my BII today and I noticed this little black box with a small white switch on top, it was against the back of the passenger floorboard, there were three words on it, but I could only make out two words... "Intertia Switch." I guess I shoulda gone and gotten my glasses. But anyway, what is it?

I think this may be the switch that turns off your electric fuel pump in the event of an accident.

Thats what it is, if you have an accident the pump will shut off so you don't pump a full tank on the ground.

Keeps peeps from stealing the truck too if they dunno about it... but, why on the passenger side? What if ur by yourself? Kinda dumb to me... one of the several downsides of the Ford Bronco II.
