Chris,
Center to center pivot mount.
Like 90 percent of alternators ever made.

The 3G was popular and came in 5 or 6 mounting styles and two amperages that I know of.

look,

Go to the DB Electrical website and filter down into Ford alternators.
Start looking at 1993 cars that didn't have a lot of power accessories and had V-6 or 8 engines.
When you find one with a 7" mount and three sets of four holes on the front, look in the notes and get the Lester number.
If you run that number you can come up with all the cars that used that particular alternator.

Also note the connections can be clocked to three positions.
If you really want it plug-n-play, get the right clocking for your application.

If you want one that's the old style center pivot center mount, 130 amp. It's the L7752 prefix alternator.

Like that one, actually that's the one I bought. I just changed my pulley to my V belt pulley.

Jim was the one that gave me all the part numbers originally and answered my questions OP. He made it extremely easy for me to do the swap.

well, y'all made that simple. Awesome. Once again, thank you.

I guess since I will be customizing my wiring I will be have to find a connector that fits that Alternator.

For the voltage regulator?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Ford-alternator-regulator-connector-Repair-Plug-harness-pigtail-/171108158408?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item27d6d74bc8&vxp=mtr
for the output charge? 4 gauge minimum, can go larger if you want and is preferred. Just run it straight to the positive battery terminal or to the battery side of the starter relay. USE a inline fuse! use a 125 AMG with this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/COOPER-BUSSMAN-FMG-211-AMG-BOLT-IN-OFFSET-5-16-18-NYLON-FUSE-HOLDER-500A-W-COVER-/310656655757?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item485494618d
If you're going to use 4 gauge, use 125 amp fuse.

As for charge cables, I went through these people. VERY nice quality cables for good price.

Matthew,
That's a 130A alternator, isn't it?
Did it fit right up?

Gigemags says he is using a 351W but I'm not sure if he has V-belts or serpentine.
(don't imagine EFI on a '47)

If serpentine, the bracket needs some clearancing for the 148mm case.
If he has V-belts, he may be better off with the 8 1/4" mounting than the 7".

Yep fitted right up, had to push the bottom slide bracket down a tiny bit though to get the bolt hole to line up. Required me to get a 36" belt from the 37.5" I had but that's the only difference I had. The link I gave for the 3G is the one you linked me to and the one I bought. Best deal I could find on one.

I didn't check the link.
I'm on the phone and my data is SO freaking slow here, it takes like 3 screen timeouts to load a page..

I used the 8.25" on my 460 and the stock belt fits fine.
I just had to straighten the adjuster a little

Yeah it's V belt. So you think I need an 8 1/4"?

The adjuster bracket lined up fine as far as straightness, but by the time I pushed it down to line up, that caused it to be closer to the end of it's travel. Someone used a 37.5" 460 alternator belt on my 351W that takes a 37" belt originally. Fit fine with the stock alternator, but since the bracket had been relocated to closer to the end of it's travel. I had to order a shorter belt. Got a goodyear gatorback poly V belt for like $5.50 off Ebay through a wholesale place. Can't beat it. Never squeals on start up.

Pico 5747 is the Stator connector.

Aka; Ford 5u2z145411ta or Motorcraft wpt852

Do not pay more than $4 for this connector.
Some vendors would think you are ignorant enough not to realize how easy these parts are to get.

I just used a red spade terminal, I think that's what they call them. Worked fine.

Matthew could answer that question better than me.
He actually HAS a 351.
I think he linked the 8 1/4"...

That's the one that fit better on my 460.

You can tell, if the adjuster ear has a little bridge in the middle.

It does work fine, just like I told you.
.. but it doesn't have the little locking tab.

Some people want everything 'stock'.

I know there's a new vendor out there with the harness made up for a reasonable price (unlike some other vendors I've mentioned in other threads)
