Winch bumper question
Tried to search first but didn't get any results. I have a 79 f150 and been looking for a old school winch bumper. Came across a 71 winch bumper/grill guard that came off a bronco for cheap. Will a 71 fit my 79 or will I have to mod it to fit?

The forward section of the frame are dimensionally identical btwn Bumps and Dents so you should be fine. Be advised to inspect how it is mounted (welded vs bolted) to assess if your frame horns will need to be cut/modified.
And bring a measuring tape to verify before parting with your money.

Key word "Bronco" and 71 "EB" (early bronco) is way narrower frame wise than a 78/79 full size Bronco/truck. So the bumper you found will probably be to narrow overall (fender to fender) and the mount brackets for the frame will be to narrow to mount on a full size truck.
