help me learn

Couple of questions for my info. Did Tstat yesterday Had to remove afew thing and noticed some things. What is the large flat plug on the rubber elbow leading to turbo?

.......On top of the tstat housing there is a metal line With a 5/8(16mm?) fitting I had to remove to lift the bracket off tstat housing,it had small electrical connector....what is in the line and what is the connector?.....

How tight to tighten radiator drain plug,i just did finger tight then maybe 1/8 turn with wrench. Felt kind cheap and did not wanna break. It is not leaking as is.

Not sure about the "flat plug", might need a photo of that.

The sensor on the T-Stat, connected to a metal tube, is your EBP (Exhaust Back Pressure)
Next time you are in there, that is a good thing to keep clean. You can run a weed eater line down the tube to clean it.

Drain plug is cheap, and they do break, I broke mine, if it's not leaking, you should be fine.

Also, since you have an 04, for future references, you need to find out if your truck is an early build 04, or a late build.

Easy way to find out, is to see if the ICP sensor is in the passenger side valve cover. It's the brown sensor at bottom/center of picture.

Drain plug just past snug.
Metal line is your ebp tube, the connector plugs in to the ebp sensor.
The plastic tube is going to be the crank case breather if I understand you correctly.

Maybe he is talking about the MAF. Flat plug could be the connector. Just guessing here.

MAF sensor. TOP (Only use MAF sensor cleaner on that when you need to)
EBP sensor, Bottom (carb cleaner)

I have a plug just like that on my intake tube but do not have a sensor? Is mine missing or did they just not install it on the 05'. I have no cel and the truck runs fine.
