I bought a new take off tank from a E450 chassis cab. The frame dimensions are supposed to be the same. The chassis cab models mounted the tank behind the axle, and I am hoping to do the same. My spare is mounted on the rear bumper, so the space behind the axle is not being used. Unfortunately, I am still working in Afghanistan, so the tank is sitting in my brothers shop till I get home and have time to mess with it. Then it just becomes a matter of plumbing. That's the plan anyway....
It's a color that Jeep offered in 2013 called "Commando". It was one of the things that really drew my attention to the van. Just a little different from a lot of other colors out there.
Love the van! Although everything on it deserves attention, the thing that I want to know is where did they (or you) get the brush guard for the front? I really like it, but of course I'm not sure if it'd fit my 86.
Sweet ride!! Have a '90 Pathfinder 4x conversion cargo van myself. Love it but it left the factory with a 302 and loaded with tools, it really struggles on grades and the AOD is useless here in the mountains. A buddy has an '85 Bronco w/ 351 and c-6 he'll sell me for $100. Hopefully it'll drop right in. Enjoy!
That's a cool rig, is it a Quigley? You also have me wondering about the front sheet metal, it looks pre 08, what's the deal with that, because it's a 450?

Self installed 6" uJor conversion in a 1992 7.3 w/37" on recentered H1 double bead locks. It's a 350.
Great Van, love the color. Great shot of it popping up over that rise, with wheels up!
I have a '95 4x4 7.3 camper, with a UJOR 4" lift that I've been enjoying for 3yrs.
I recently tore apart the front end for what turned into a major rebuild.
Did you find a solution for the long turning radius? I ask because Chris now sells a crossover steer kit that eliminates the drag ling angle and bump steer. I think he has different pitman arms to go along with it, that might help with turning radius. I haven't had mine on the road yet, but soon.

Sorry for the long delay, apparently it's been a while since I logged in. Not sure why I wasn't notified of the message though... Anyway, the brush guard was fabricated by the shop that did the 4x4 conversion. Unfortunately, they do not sell them as a stand alone item.
If you have the time and expertise, he made a tutorial on how to modify your own door arm. Good stuff! It gained me about 2 to 2 1/2 inches and made a big difference.
