I installed the 3 IN. downpipe so will my power #'s from the superchip 1705 be for the newer SD 99-03 or still fall short like 94-97. The pipe helped out a lot my power fells more stock if not better after the 35" tires.
It'll fall a little short but not much. In part, due to the lack of an intercooler Superchips doesn't fuel the system as much when the turbo up is spooling in order to keep EGTs down. That pipe adds about a healthy 20HP (depending the current PCM code).
Do the newer trucks have intercoolers from the factory? I installed the 3 1/2 down pipe that I got from Ken, made quite a difference.
Do when you went with the larger tires did it have a dramatic impact on power (loss) and stopping distance? I put 305's on and according to the butt dyno, it sure feels like it took 1/2 of what the SCMT gave me...
I went with 315,75,16 and I lost some power I do have the 4.10's so that helped now if I did tne math right my truck now has a gear more like 3.73 or so if it had the stock tires . The down pipe bummped the butt dyno results back to stock if not better. And best of all the trucks stops so much better more rubber on the ground . than the 235,85 had and the rubber is softer on the 315 Yokes. Next in line are the gauges and supership.
